Glencore Mount Isa Mines are currently advertising vacancies exist for Equipment Operators in the Isa Surface Operations Team. 

The Role Mount Isa Mines are currently advertising for roles in the Isa Surface Operations tailings team for Equipment Operators. The Isa Surface Operational Tailings teams provide bulk materials handling, Tailings mining and Tailing's maintenance and management for various departments across the Mount Isa Mines lease. The positions are residentially based in Mount Isa.  

These positions report to the Tailings Shift Supervisors on a 7x7 day shift only roster, Previous experience with dump trucks, loaders, graders, dozers, and watercarts would be advantageous however not necessary as training and development is provided. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Promoting and reinforcing a culture of safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Operating a variety of Heavy Earth Moving equipment in a mining and or civil construction environment.
• Working with other departments, contractors, and teams to support and ensure production targets are safely met.
• Maintaining a high level of safety in the way we work.
• Monitoring, reporting, and conducting thorough equipment prestart inspections.
• Safe operation of machinery across site and positive communication.

• Strong time management skills.
• Ability to communicate at all levels.
• Flexible attitude and sound work ethic.
• Ability to achieve results within the specified time frames.
• Strong customer focus is required as well as a high level of attention to detail.
• Ability to work well within a team environment or with minimal supervision.
• Proven experience in heavy machinery operations would be advantageous but not essential.
