The Opportunity:

Lismore Base Hospital is seeking a Locum Interventional Cardiologist to provide general cardiology care and STEMI on-call cover. Youll work 0800-1700 during the day with overnight on-call (1700-0800) on selected weekdays and weekends.   Youll round on inpatients, attend cardiac emergencies and support the ED when needed. The role also includes supervision and teaching of junior doctors, making it ideal for a team-oriented specialist who enjoys contributing to a regional hospital setting.   About the Hospital:

Lismore Base Hospital is a Level 5 regional referral hospital, equipped with a Cardiac Cath Lab, ICU/CCU, modern theatres, imaging services, and one of the busiest Emergency Departments in Northern NSW. Its also the designated Trauma Centre for the region, supported by an on-site rooftop helipad and retrieval service.

  • $2,500 per day (24hr period) - all-inclusive

  Eligibility Requirements:
  • AHPRA Specialist Registration
  • Fellowship with RACP (Cardiology)
  • Interventional cardiology experience with STEMI management
  • Comfortable supervising junior medical staff
  • NSW Working with Children Check and Police Check
