About the role

We are currently seeking an experienced and committed Rail Welder to join our Rail Operations team in the Hunter Valley, NSW.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a privately-owned, Tier 1 construction company with a strong presence in international engineering. With ongoing infrastructure projects and long-term career prospects, this role is ideal for those looking to take the next step in their rail career.

Key responsibilities

Rail-specific duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring welding duties meets required standards
  • Determining the method and sequence of welding operations
  • Preparing rail to repair and maintain rail tracks
  • Complete required documentation such as welding and adjustment returns

About you

  • ARTC Heat & cut materials using Oxy - LPG equipment for the rail industry certification.
  • Current Thermit Welding Certificate, or equivalent.
  • Weld rail using aluminothermic welding process.
  • Certificate II in Rail Infrastructure.
  • Hold a valid Construction Induction (White Card) & Rail Industry Worker (RIW) Card.
  • Valid Drivers Licence Class ‘C or ‘HR.
  • Ability to pass a CAT3 medical, comprehensive functional and Drug & Alcohol Screening.
  • Hold a current Sydney Trains CON number (desirable).
