Position Details

  • Permanent Part Time Position (0.8FTE)
  • Classification: SCHADS Level 6 with a salary range of $106,487 - $111,209; per annum pro rata + Superannuation
  • Salary packaging arrangements providing tax benefits available for living and entertainment expenses increasing your take home income where part of your wage is paid tax free each pay, savings thousands in tax each year
  • Location: Head Office, Preston VIC, however remote or hybrid working arrangements will be considered

About your new role

The Lived Experience Learning and Development (LE L&D Lead) will collaborate with the National Lived Experience Practice Lead (NLEL) and other Lived Experience (LE) leads to promote high-quality Lived Experience practice and shared understanding of practice across the organisation.

As a designated Lived Experience leadership position, the LE L&D Lead models Lived Experience ways of working by applying the Lived Experience lens in all aspects of the role.

The LE L&D role comes alongside a team of Lived Experience Learning and Development Officers (LE L&DO's) as the line manager. The LE L&D Lead provides day-to-day support and guidance, embodying Lived Experience values in leading people, facilitating reflective learnings spaces and supporting performance to stay Peer, share power and foster reciprocity, connection and mutuality as a team.

What you will bring to the role

  • Model Lived Experience (LE) leadership and ways of working and be an agent for systems change.
  • Apply the LE lens to the design, delivery, and evaluation of Lived Experience learning and development solutions. Apply LE principles and values to offer line management, practice development sessions, and mentoring with LE L&D Officers.
  • Lead the recruitment and onboarding of LE L&D Officers.
  • Line management responsibility of the L&D Project Officer who provides support to the implementation of IPS (Max Term contract until December 31st, 2025)
  • Facilitate professional learning, development, and co-reflection spaces, including access to external Lived Experience discipline-specific supervision for LE L&D Officers
  • Personal lived/living experience of recovery as a family, friend or carer. Your recovery experience may be related to mental health, suicidal crisis, drugs and alcohol use or trauma
  • Willingness to identify or be identified by others as a professional with lived experience of recovery
  • Willingness to share and draw on lived experience purposefully in the role to instil confidence and hope in others about the journey of recovery

What the role requires

  • Completion of Intentional Peer Support (IPS) Core training and IPS Train the Trainer qualification as essential criteria for this role
  • Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (police check) - disclosable outcomes considered
  • Current Australian drivers licence and access to a car
  • Australian working rights
