We have numerous positions available under the 3 categories listed below:
Positions Available:
Position 1 - Support Worker (General)
Position 2 - Support Worker (Youth)
Position 3 - Support Worker (Supported Independent Living - SIL)
Position 4 - Support Worker - (Complex Behaviours)
Job Type: Part time/CasualShifts Available: Monday-Sunday, various times, including opportunities for longer shifts and overnights.
About the roles:
1 - As a Community Support Worker, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our participants receive the highest level of care and support. You will assist our participants with daily living and community access supports, creating a positive, safe and supportive environment where participants can thrive and achieve their goals.
2 - As a Support Worker in Supported Independent Living (SIL) accommodation you will be part of a team environment with opportunities for longer regular ongoing shifts, plus overnight shifts supporting participants with complex needs. All applicants for this role must be willing to perform tasks of manual handling and personal care (showering, pad changes, etc).
3 - As a Support Worker (Youth) you will ideally have qualifications or experience in dealing with youth, including high intensity and complex behaviours. Applicants applying for this role must hold a current working with children clearance.
4 - As a Support Worker (Complex Behaviours) you will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge in dealing with participants with complex behaviours, including high intensity and non-verbal. Experience in working with Positive Behaviour Support plans would also be advantageous.
Requirements:
Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of NDIS, and a strong desire to help and care for others.
Relevant qualifications in disability, community services, youth work, mental health or a related field are desirable but not essential. Any mental health experience and or experience in working with children with complex needs, would be highly advantageous.
Current First Aid Certificate, Working with Children Check, and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain).
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, must have good availability and the ability to work up to a minimum of 15 hours per week.
