We are currently seeking an experienced Forklift Operator for our dayshift operations.  

Day Shift runs nominally from 5:00am - 1:30pm

The successful candidate will be operating a 16t forklift in a modern site, unloading Rail Wagons into stock holds, loading and unloading trucks, staging product within the yard and assisting the site Supervisor/Manager where required.

The site will be busy with many moving parts - so proactive, safety conscious applicants need only apply.

To be considered for the role you :

• Must be Safety Conscious with a forward thinking mentality

• Hold a HRW Forklift licence

• Must be flexible / willing to work overtime (when required)

• Must be reliable, willing to learn and adapt to a new site

Skills for the role or the ability to obtain/learn:

• Operation of a 16t tyne forklift

• Experience in loading and unloading trucks

• Experience in unloading Rail Wagons

• Experience or knowledge of steel products

• Load restraint and out of gauge experience desirable

• Demonstrate a high level of safety awareness

• High level of attention to detail, multi-task & prioritise duties

• Intermediate computer skills

• Be flexible with working hours, rotating rostered Saturdays in peak periods and have a good attitude

• Be a team player

Advantageous but not required - Yard Tug experience and HC licence.

Required: own car and drivers licence desirable.
