The Opportunity Due to continued business growth, we are looking for an Experienced Automotive Technician to join our ever-growing team!The successful applicant will be paid above award wages ($35-$40 per hour, plus super) depending on experience, with flexible hours and working within a highly motivated and driven team in a modern and fast paced workshop.
Position Overview:As an Experienced Automotive Technician specialising in diagnostics, your primary responsibility will be to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues in a variety of vehicle systems. You'll work with advanced diagnostic tools and technology, helping to solve problems that others can't. We're looking for someone who has a passion for the challenge of diagnosing difficult issues, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to provide top-quality repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform advanced diagnostics on all vehicle systems, including but not limited to engine, transmission, electrical, and suspension.
Use state-of-the-art OEM diagnostic equipment to pinpoint vehicle issues with accuracy.
Troubleshoot and repair complex problems, ensuring vehicles meet safety and performance standards.
Collaborate with the team to identify effective solutions and ensure timely repairs.
Communicate clearly and effectively with customers regarding diagnostics, repair options, and recommendations.
Keep up to date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.
Ensure all work is completed according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment.
Mentor and guide junior technicians as needed.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Automotive Technician with a focus on diagnostics (minimum 5 years required).
In-depth knowledge of automotive systems, electronics, and troubleshooting techniques.
Proficiency with diagnostic tools, scanners, and equipment to diagnose issues efficiently and accurately.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex and unusual automotive issues.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to advisors.
Valid driver's license.
High attention to detail and commitment to delivering top-quality service.
