About the role
As an Auto Electrician at Hawkins Industrial Contracting, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing the electrical systems of heavy machinery and vehicles used in the mining and resources industry. This full-time position is based in Far West, NSW and offers competitive pay and excellent benefits.
What you'll be doing
Diagnose, repair and maintain electrical systems and components of trucks, excavators, and other heavy equipment
Perform electrical installations, modifications, and upgrades as needed
Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement solutions to ensure optimal equipment performance
Maintain detailed records of all work completed and parts used
Collaborate with the wider maintenance team to coordinate activities and ensure efficient operations
Adhere to all safety standards and procedures to protect yourself and your colleagues
What we're looking for
Qualified Auto Electrician with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components found in heavy machinery and vehicles
Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics
Proficient in the use of diagnostic equipment and hand tools
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Commitment to working safely and following all relevant procedures
Strong communication and teamwork skills
