What You'll Be DoingAfter Hours Hospital Manager (Nurse Manager Grade 3) participates in or is responsible for the leadership and management of nursing services in a management unit, service, complex function or facility to ensure the delivery of high quality patient care and efficient use of resources.

  1. Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Relevant post graduate qualifications or equivalent work experience or a combination of study and experience deemed appropriate by SWSLHD.

  2. Demonstrated senior nursing experience with experience in leading staff and managing services in a relevant setting.
  3. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs.
  4. Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and manage conflicts and performance issues when they arise.
  5. Demonstrated understanding and participation in the implementation of organisational change, risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace.
