About the role The Content Designer role, as part of one or more cross-functional product squads, is responsible for writing, editing, researching designing and delivering digital content that informs and guides people of NSW through government transactions and services. The role will engage with customers and stakeholders to create meaningful, end-to-end content experiences to ensure all people of NSW can find, use and access high-quality products and services.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Adopt a customer-centric approach by supporting the end-to-end design process through discovery, framing, iterative development and delivery to ensure high-quality products and services for the people of NSW.
  • Design, produce and publish of all types of content, long form and microcopy, ensuring its accurate, written in plain English, and aligned with the content strategy, customer needs and product capability.
  • Adhere to industry accessibility and brand guidelines, including Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), Agencys Global Experience Language (GEL), content strategy and component library, to ensure consistent, inclusive and accessible content is delivered to the customers
  • Support and contribute to conducting user research, search engine optimisation (SEO) and data analysis and content reviews and audits to ensure content meets customer needs.
  • Contribute to and assist in scoping, writing, editing, testing and the performance measurement of digital content, as well as documenting and supporting change management for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to understand and support business goals, timelines and deliverables.
  • Maintain awareness of relevant industry trends, methodology and tools to identify and deliver innovative solutions that optimise outcomes in line with organisational priorities.

  • perform basic research and analysis to inform and support the achievement of project deliverables.
Support office roles will be headquartered across McKell, Parramatta and Gosford. We will consider role headquarters outside of the above locations where the role can reasonably be performed from that location taking into consideration the operational, financial and customer requirements of the role, and an ability to attend a NSW Government workplace as required. At the point an employee is notified of our intention to assign them to a role, the relevant leader will discuss headquarter options.

Salary Service NSW Grade 7/8, with the base salary for this role starting at $102899 base plus superannuation
