About the Opportunity

The Project Officer provides quality support to ensure the effective functioning of the Local and State Voices and provides advice and support to the Director in relation to Voice matters and issues. The Project Officer will operate with cultural competency and utilise their understanding of the complex issues facing Aboriginal communities. Duties include the provision of administrative support, policy analysis and advice, and project coordination in relation to queries and matters raised by Voices members. The Project Officer will work under the supervision of the Director, and liaise with the Secretariat team, AGD business units, and other public sector agencies as required.

Special Conditions for Employment

Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Successful applicants will be provided further information if an interview is requested. Forms are not to be lodged directly with SA Police (SAPOL) under any circumstances and any fees incurred by applicants in doing so will not be recoverable from the AGD.

Some out of hours work may be required. Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required. Must hold a current Australian issued drivers licence (equivalent to minimum class C).
