About the role
This is a pivotal leadership opportunity where clinical excellence meets operational impact. As Team Leader, you will lead and support a talented multidisciplinary team, champion evidence-based practice, and ensure young people accessing headspace Mount Druitt receive high-quality, consistent, and person-centred care.
Working closely with the Operations Manager, you will play a key role in shaping service delivery, driving clinical excellence, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture. You will empower clinicians to achieve their best, support continuous improvement, and ensure the service delivers strong outcomes against quality, performance, and strategic objectives.
This role offers the opportunity to combine leadership, clinical expertise, workforce development, and service innovation, making a meaningful and lasting impact on both young people and the clinicians who support them.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide operational and clinical supervision to a multidisciplinary team
Lead case reviews, intake meetings, and client management discussions
Guide and embed evidence-based practice across the team
Train, mentor, and develop new clinicians joining the service
Oversee key partnerships and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
Collaborate with the Operations Manager on strategic initiatives and service direction
Monitor service KPIs and contribute to reporting requirements
Deliver direct client support when needed
Participate in the on-call roster approximately once every three months for one week
About You
You're a clinician who has grown into or is ready to step into a leadership role. You understand the complexity of youth mental health, you know how to hold space for your team as well as your clients, and you bring both clinical rigour and genuine warmth to everything you do.
You'll bring:
Approved tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Registered Nursing, Occupational Therapy, or a related discipline
Provisional or full registration with AHPRA or an appropriate professional body
Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated clinical experience in youth mental health or a related field
Experience supervising, leading, or mentoring clinical staff
Strong understanding of evidence-based, recovery-oriented and person-centred practice
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, community-based setting
Current Driver's Licence
