About Program
The Community Living Supports (CLS) Of Uniting is a community outreach service assisting adults across NSW recover and transition to quality of life in the community. The service delivery is individualised and flexible. Targeting individuals with stable housing, service provision commences from the inpatient unit and transitions into the community.
About the role
As Team Leader, you will provide day-to-day leadership, supervision, and operational oversight of the Community Living Supports program.
Working closely with the Service Manager, you will foster a positive team culture, ensure quality service delivery, and drive continuous improvement. You will support staff to deliver recovery-oriented, strengths-based services that promote independence, wellbeing, and social inclusion for participants.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading, mentoring, and supporting a multidisciplinary team
Providing practice guidance, coaching, and supervision to staff
Supporting service planning, quality improvement, and compliance activities
Managing program operations and service delivery outcomes
Building strong relationships with participants, carers, community partners, and stakeholders
Supporting staff to deliver person-centred and recovery-focused support
Monitoring service performance and contributing to reporting requirements
Promoting a safe, inclusive, and collaborative team culture
About You
You’ll bring:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Community Services, Mental Health, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience working within mental health, psychosocial support, community services, or disability services
Previous experience leading, supervising, or mentoring staff
Strong understanding of recovery-oriented and person-centred practice
Experience managing competing priorities and supporting service delivery outcomes
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationship-building skills
Sound knowledge of risk management, safeguarding, and professional practice standards
Current Driver Licence and willingness to travel locally as required
