The Role

We're looking for a motivated and reliable Streetscape Unit Operator to join our Parks & Environment team. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for maintaining the City's streetscapes to a high standard, ensuring our public spaces remain safe, clean, and welcoming.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete daily streetscape maintenance schedules
• Operate mowing equipment and tools (e.g., line trimmers, blower vacs, chainsaws)
• Perform tasks such as edging, returfing, weeding, fencing repairs, and green waste collection
• Comply with traffic management and safety procedures
• Attend toolbox meetings and contribute to continuous improvement
• Maintain equipment and report servicing needs
• Promote safety and customer service excellence

What You'll Need

• Year 10 Certificate (Essential)
• Current MR Class Driver's Licence (Essential)
• National Police Clearance (under 3 months, Essential)
• Experience operating commercial mowers and line trimmers
• Strong understanding of occupational health and safety
• Physical capability for manual outdoor work
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
