About the role

We're currently seeking a Rail Labourer for our Rail Operations team in the Hunter Valley. This role offers great career prospects with a privately-owned tier 1 constructor and international engineering enterprise.

Key responsibilities

Rail-specific duties may include but are not limited to:

• Removing and replacing worn and damaged rails, sleepers and switches.
• Spotting machinery and mobile plant (such as excavators, rollers etc).
• Using powered hand tools and equipment.
• Site clean-up (clearing of debris and manual handling).
• Demonstrate ability to perform duties maintaining high standards in both safety and quality.

About you

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work unsupervised and within a team.
• Demonstrate experience working in the rail construction industry.
• Hold a valid Construction Induction (White Card) & Rail Industry Worker (RIW) Card.
• Valid Drivers Licence Class ‘C' or ‘HR'.
• Ability to pass a CAT3 medical, comprehensive functional and Drug & Alcohol Screening.
• Certificate II in Rail Infrastructure required. 
• RISI certificate required
