What We're Looking For

We're hiring across all experience levels:

• Apprentice Panel Beaters - All year levels welcome. Great attitude and willingness to learn essential.

• Qualified Panel Beaters - Trade-certified with hands-on experience in repair and restoration work.

• Senior Panel Beaters - Highly experienced technicians who can take on complex jobs and mentor junior staff.

Key Responsibilities

Duties vary based on your experience level, but may include:

For All Levels:

• Assist in assessing vehicle damage and planning repairs

• Remove damaged panels, trims, and components

• Repair or replace panels, frames, and structural parts

• Perform sanding, grinding, and filler application

• Align panels, trims, and fittings to factory standard

• Work closely with painters and workshop team to complete jobs efficiently

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment

For Senior / Qualified Technicians:

• Independently manage full repair jobs from start to finish

• Use measuring and pulling systems for structural realignment

• Weld and fabricate panels as required

• Supervise apprentices and contribute to training

• Ensure high quality standards and meet insurance requirements

• Liaise with assessors or customers when needed

For Apprentices:

• Learn safe and proper techniques from experienced tradespeople

• Support tradespeople with repair prep and reassembly tasks

• Commit to formal training (TAFE or MTA) as part of your apprenticeship

What You'll Need

Apprentices:

• Passion for automotive and a hands-on attitude

• Willingness to learn and follow instructions

• Enrolled (or willing to enrol) in a Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology

• Punctual, reliable and committed to developing your skills

Qualified / Senior Panel Beaters:

• Trade qualification (Cert III Automotive Body Repair or equivalent)

• Solid experience in smash repairs, panel alignment, and welding

• Attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Ability to work independently or lead others

• Valid Australian driver's licence
