Gulf Parts & Service is a small busy business in Far North Queensland that prides itself on providing first class customer service.
We are seeking qualified, experienced and enthusiastic trade qualified Light Vehicle Mechanics to join a friendly and hardworking team in a fast-paced environment.
THE ROLE: You will be required to work on a variety of vehicles including passenger, light commercial and four-wheel drives. Your main duties will include inspecting and road testing to identify potential service needs, service, repairs and general maintenance on all aspects of the vehicle, and diagnostics. You must be a qualified tradesman with recent experience in the automotive industry.
Candidates must have a minimum of 1-2 years of recent automotive industry experience.
Essential Requirements:
• Fully Qualified in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent trade certificate• Current valid manual Australian driver's licence• High level of customer service• High level of diagnostic and fault finding knowledge• Sense of humour• Be approachable, friendly and enjoy working as part of a team• Previous experience in servicing and repairing light motor vehicles• Availability to work Saturdays*
About You: If you have a valid mechanical trade certificate or higher, have demonstrated experience in a similar role working across a variety of different engines, a current valid manual driver's licence with your own reliable vehicle and your own workshop hand tools; enjoy fishing, hunting, camping and the outdoor lifestyle then this is the job for you!
