Job DescriptionJoin a high-profile Federal Government department as a Locksmith Your new company Join a high-profile Federal Government department who are at the forefront of promoting and protecting Australia's international interests. Their Security Infrastructure Division is seeking an EL1 Locksmith for operational support, installations and maintenance.
As part of the Security Infrastructure Division, the EL1 Locksmith will support the department's secure operations by delivering expert locksmith services across domestic and international locations, primarily based in Canberra with the potential to travel to other Australian locations and overseas as required. Your new role Deliver daily locksmith services and operational support across the department's secure network
Conduct installation, maintenance and decommissioning of security locking systems in accordance with departmental standards Provide expert technical advice to design teams involved in infrastructure refits and upgrades Undertake pre-installation and pre-maintenance planning, including hardware procurement, logistics coordination and documentation preparation
Operate independently under limited supervision, managing priorities and deadlines effectively Participate in domestic and international deployments to support security infrastructure projects What you'll need to succeed
Certificate III in Locksmithing NV2 Security Clearance A Security Construction and Equipment Committee (SCEC) Endorsement or the ability to obtain one
Experience in security fit-outs, equipment installation, and commissioning Safety cards (White Card, Asbestos Awareness etc.) desirable What you'll get in return
