About the Role:As a Fleet Coordinator at BOOM, you will play a key role in coordinating and allocating resources, including equipment and personnel, to ensure the smooth and efficient execution of projects. You will work closely with the operations team to plan and schedule resources based on project requirements and available capacity, while ensuring compliance with safety standards and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and allocate resources, including personnel and equipment, to meet project requirements and deadlines.
Develop and maintain detailed resource schedules, ensuring that all equipment and personnel are deployed efficiently.
Work closely with the operations and project management teams to understand resource needs and ensure optimal utilisation.
Monitor resource availability, track equipment usage, and manage changes to the schedule as required.
Communicate effectively with field teams, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination of resources and schedules.
Ensure all resource allocation complies with safety regulations, operational standards, and customer requirements.
Assist in forecasting resource requirements and identifying potential issues or bottlenecks in resource availability.
Provide support to operations by managing resource shortages, reallocating resources, and resolving scheduling conflicts.
Maintain accurate records of resource allocations and usage to ensure efficient tracking and reporting.
Key Requirements:
Previous experience in resource planning, allocation, or scheduling in the crane hire, logistics, mining, or construction industries.
Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with internal teams and external clients.
Attention to detail and accuracy in managing resource schedules and allocations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Familiarity with resource planning software and systems is an advantage.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle unexpected issues or resource conflicts.
