With annual revenue of ~A$10 million and a strong pipeline of projects, we're entering our next stage of growth and are looking for a hands-on Financial Controller to take ownership of our finance and operations function.
The Opportunity
This is a newly created role reporting directly to the CEO. You'll oversee all aspects of financial management, compliance, and reporting, while also providing commercial insights to guide strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
Lead all financial reporting, including monthly management accounts, board packs, and cash flow forecasts.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax, and statutory obligations.
Oversee the work of the accountant (AP, AR, payroll, reconciliations, billing, debtor management).
Drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls.
Partner with the CEO and leadership team to provide financial insights, scenario modelling, and support for business decisions.
Manage audit, banking, and external advisor relationships.
About You
CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent).
5+ years' experience in finance management, ideally with exposure to professional services, consulting, or technology sectors.
Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and compliance requirements.
Proven ability to produce accurate, insightful financial reports and forecasts.
Commercial mindset with the ability to turn numbers into actionable insights.
Hands-on, proactive, and comfortable operating in a small, fast-paced business.
Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop team members.
