ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting directly to the Principal, the Deputy Principal - Curriculum and Pedagogy provides strategic leadership in curriculum design, academic planning, and pedagogical innovation across all year levels, with a view to supporting future growth.
Working closely with the Deputy Principal - Pastoral and Wellbeing, you will help MOB Academy deliver a rigorous, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that develops confident, values-led young men.
You will play a pivotal role in strengthening our academic programs, mentoring teaching staff, and embedding a culture of professional growth and continuous improvement, all while contributing to the development of the school as it expands over the coming years.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Leadership
Provide strategic direction and oversight for curriculum development, implementation, and review across all current and future year levels.
Support planning for new programs and pathways as the school grows in the coming three years.
Drive academic innovation and curriculum mapping to enhance student engagement and outcomes.
Pedagogical Innovation & Staff Development
Lead and embed MOB's instructional model, fostering consistency and quality across all learning areas.
Champion evidence-based teaching practices and integrate ICT to support contemporary learning.
Mentor and support Heads of Department and teachers through coaching, peer observation, and professional learning programs.
Academic Monitoring & Performance
Oversee school-wide academic tracking, data analysis, and reporting systems to inform decision-making.
Use student performance data to identify trends, inform interventions, and celebrate success.
Collaborate with staff to design and implement targeted strategies for students at all levels.
Operational & Administrative Leadership
Lead academic timetabling, assessment planning, and reporting cycles.
Ensure robust academic compliance, documentation, and risk management procedures.
Contribute to school improvement planning, board reporting, and strategic initiatives linked to growth.
Community & Collaborative Engagement
Communicate effectively with parents and the wider community about curriculum and learning progress.
Represent MOB Academy at professional networks and community events.
Foster strong working relationships within the leadership team to align academic and wellbeing initiatives.

You bring:
A recognised tertiary qualification in Education and current QCT registration.
Extensive leadership experience in curriculum and pedagogy within the independent school sector.
Strong strategic, operational, and people leadership capabilities.
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
