About the Role
As a Clinical Nurse in this role, you will provide high-quality nursing and/or midwifery services across a variety of health service settings. This position offers the opportunity to build on your experience and further develop your skills, supporting your growth from a competent to a proficient practitioner. You'll be part of a dynamic team where your expertise directly contributes to positive patient outcomes and a culture of excellence in care.
In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you will accept accountability for your own practice, as well as for activities delegated to others. You'll play a key role in guiding and developing less experienced staff while coordinating the safe delivery of care within the SCig service. Portfolio responsibilities will allow you to influence service delivery, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained across all clinical activities.
About You
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate nurse or midwife who thrives in a dynamic clinical environment:
Registered or eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, holding or able to hold a current practising certificate, with relevant clinical competencies.
Strong communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and teamwork skills, able to work independently and prioritise effectively.
Demonstrated post-registration experience (min. 3 years FTE) with competence in clinical practice and leadership of junior staff.
Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, quality improvement systems, and contemporary nursing/midwifery practices.
