Position Type Permanent full time
Salary $67,311 to $83,292 per annum (inclusive of allowances), based on 76 hours per fortnight, plus superannuation and a 9 day fortnight. Appointed salary in this range will be based on skills, qualifications and experience. A pool vehicle is provided during work hours to travel to and from sites as required.

About the role In this role you will provide building construction, supervision of contractors, and maintenance and repairs to Council's building assets as required by the Capital Works Officers and Technical Officers. You will also mentor, provide guidance and on the job training in all aspects of carpentry and joinery work to apprentices.

About you Your new role will utilise your well developed building knowledge, good organisational skills and your ability to undertake building construction, repairs and maintenance to Council's structures. A commitment to completing quality work in a timely manner is required to ensure that the completion of works programs meet the expectations of the structure owners in accordance with agreed levels of service. Good listening and communication skills are essential to ensure directions and instructions are carried out safely, promptly and accurately.
