Our client is a Rockhampton based manufacturer and service repairer for heavy machinery and underground mining equipment.

Overall, you will be involved with overhauling, strips, and repairs to underground mining gear including: 

• Reading Blueprints: Interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Fabricating Parts: Shaping, cutting, and bending metal parts to size and specifications
• Welding: MIG, TIG, and fluxcore welding of mining machinery 
• Assembly: Welding, bolting, and joining metal pieces together to form desired structures

About the position:

• Causal hourly rate of $50/hr + penalties
• Complete 8-10 hour shifts with regular overtime offered 
• 6am starts working Monday to Friday

You will require:

• Trade certificate - Australian recognised 
• Heavy industry or mining experience would be advantageous 
• Experience working on underground mining gear is highly regarded but not essential
• Forklift License LF - highly regarded
