What's the role?

We're looking for a Senior Associate / Associate to join the Credit & Capital team within Westpac's Corporate and Institutional Bank (CIB). You will play a key role in supporting balance sheet management, distribution and regulatory capital optimisation across CIB.

You will support the execution of CRI transactions, working closely with debt product specialists and relationship managers across industries and products on transaction structuring. You will engage with external brokers and insurers to source appropriate cover and ensure policy compliance. You will also support post transaction policy management.

This is a full-time role based in Sydney which offers a collaborative team environment and exposure to strategic initiatives across the bank. You'll gain deep insight into the CRI market. The role also builds credit structuring and execution skills and enhances understanding of regulatory capital and deal economics.

What do I need?

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • Relevant qualifications in business, finance or related discipline
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong skills in Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to work across teams and influence outcomes

Further advantageous skills:

  • Experience in Corporate or Institutional banking, with experience in credit analysis and assessment.
