About the role

As an Assertive Outreach Worker, this is your opportunity to provide holistic support to young people who are marginalised, excluded and/or disconnected from service and build trust with young people through consistent and meaningful engagement and linking to housing, health, employment, and community services.

Reporting to the Program Manager, this is a permanent, full-time position based in Alice Springs, NT.

Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Award, Level 4.

How you will make an impact
  • Support is provided to young people in line with Youth Services Model of care and associated Frameworks
  • Effective relationships are established with clients that encourage self-determination and participation
  • Case management support is provided to clients in accordance with TSA case management models and standards of practice
  • Ongoing assessment is made of the client's issues, safety, needs and circumstances from initial intake to exit
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of young people and operate within the organisational safeguarding policies and a state mandatory reporting requirement.
What you will bring
  • Degree qualification in social work, welfare, community development or related field.
  • Demonstrated high level of sector knowledge and skills attained through previous roles, service and study/development.
  • Working with Children Check
  • A national police record check is required
  • Drivers License
  • First Aid Certificate
