Job Description
\n Responsibilities\n
\n - Validation of drill hole and other geological data upon receipt from client
\n - Review of quality assurance procedures and quality control data provided by the client
\n - 3D Modelling of geological features to support Mineral Resource estimation
\n - Statistical and geostatistical analysis of data
\n - Grade interpolation using appropriate techniques
\n - Validation of grade interpolation
\n - Reporting of Mineral Resource estimation results in accordance with the JORC Code (or other international codes as required)
\n - Site visits (domestic and international) and laboratory inspections as required
\n - Willingness to act as Competent Person under the JORC Code where appropriate
\n - Willingness to assist with corporate assignments (due diligence, independent technical assessments) as required
\n - Assistance with integration of resource estimation activities
\n - Undertake business development and manage client relationships
\n - Attend professional development training as required
\n - Attend conferences or technical seminars
\n - Travel on short notice
\n
Requirements\n
\n - 15 + years geological/mining/resource estimation experience
\n - Strong technical knowledge of resource estimation processes
\n - Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships in a consulting environment
\n - Thorough knowledge of JORC reporting requirements and codes from other jurisdictions (NI43-101, SAMREC)
\n - Strong knowledge of the Australian regulatory environment for resource management.
\n - High standard of technical geological knowledge of one or more commodities (gold, lithium, copper, bauxite, iron ore, etc.)
\n - High level of Mineral Resource estimation skills
\n - Good knowledge of at least one mining software package (Micromine, Datamine, Surpac, Leapfrog, Isatis etc.)
\n - Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook
\n - Flexibility with hours and work locations.
\n - Tertiary degree in Geology; (MSc, PhD highly regarded)
\n - Member of professional geoscientific organization (AusIMM, AIG, Competent Person status for at least two commodities)
\n - Possess a current unrestricted ‘C’ class driver’s license
\n - Desirable to possess a current Senior First Aid Certificate.
