Uniting Tamworth comprises two co-located facilities operating as a single service: McKay House, home to 60 residents across three households, and Alblas Lodge, also supporting 60 residents across five smaller household clusters.

Position Overview:
As a Care Worker, you will provide compassionate, person-centred care to residents living in our aged care facility. Your support enables residents to retain independence and maximise their quality of life in a safe and nurturing environment.
Weekday shifts - Monday to Friday – AM + PM available.
Key Responsibilities:
You’ll provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents living in our aged care home, to help support their independence and improve their quality of life
Providing daily living assistance such as showering, personal hygiene, dressing, help at mealtimes and with general mobility
Assisting with medication and simple wound dressings
Supporting residents in community-based recreational and social activities.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Must hold a Certificate III or IV in Aged Care/Individual Support (Ageing),
Previous experience in Aged Care or Community Care. (Highly desirable, not mandatory)
Be adaptable, empathetic, and resourceful, and you will be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
Provide a culturally safe and inclusive work environment.
Ability to adapt to changing shifts if required.
A genuine passion for elderly care, empathy, patience, and strong communication skills.
