Curis Recruitment is proud to partner with a fantastic Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service to recruit an experienced Public Health Nurse for a permanent opportunity in Far North Queensland.
This is an exciting opportunity to work across a broad range of public health programs where your work extends beyond the clinic and into the community. You'll play a key role in improving health outcomes through prevention, education and outreach, while building trusted relationships with community members and working alongside a passionate multidisciplinary team.

Position Details- $3,000 Curis Bonus
- Salary between $96,000 - $107,000 per annum
- Salary packaging available to increase your take-home pay
- Travel allowance
- Permanent full-time position
- Monday to Friday position – no weekend work

Key Responsibilities- Deliver immunisation programs across clinic, school and community settings
- Provide education and health promotion across a range of public health initiatives
- Support sexual health, skin health and cancer prevention programs
- Assist with communicable disease management and outbreak response activities
- Build strong relationships with community members through culturally safe nursing care
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to support emerging public health priorities
- Deliver outreach services and community-based nursing care where required
Qualifications and Experience- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with no restrictions
- Previous experience in Public Health, Primary Health Care or Community Nursing
- Recognised Nurse Immuniser qualification with eligibility to practise in Queensland
- Current Queensland Driver's Licence
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering culturally safe healthcare and improving health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
