What you’ll be doing\n

\n
• Leading, coaching and motivating a multi‑skilled team across both Retail and Trade operations
\n
• Creating an engaging in‑store experience that delivers exceptional service for DIY customers, homeowners and trade professionals alike
\n
• Being hands‑on on the shop floor, supporting team members and customers throughout the day
\n
• Driving retail sales performance through strong merchandising, product presentation and promotional execution
\n
• Building team capability through coaching, development and ongoing product knowledge training
\n
• Overseeing daily store operations including stock management, trade order fulfilment and inventory control
\n
• Coordinating deliveries, logistics and supplier relationships to maintain an efficient operation
\n
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with builders, contractors and key trade customers
\n
• Monitoring sales performance across both retail and trade channels and identifying growth opportunities
\n
• Working closely with ownership and leadership to achieve business objectives and strengthen community engagement
\n

What we’re looking for\n

• A hands‑on leader who thrives in a customer‑focused retail environment and leads by example
\n
• Proven experience leading teams and creating a positive, engaged and accountable culture
\n
• Strong understanding of retail operations, merchandising standards and customer service excellence
\n
• Experience working with trade customers, building products, hardware, timber or related industries
\n
• Commercial acumen with the ability to drive sales growth across both retail and trade segments
\n
• Strong operational capabilities with experience managing stock, deliveries and day‑to‑day store performance
\n
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
\n
• Background in hardware, trade, construction supply or big‑box retail (highly desirable)
\n
• Organised, practical and solution‑focused with a strong work ethic
