About Pimlico State High School Pimlico State High School is a large, co-educational independent public school located in the eastern suburbs of Townsville, North Queensland. The school is proud to offer an extensive range of both academic and vocational subjects to students in Years 7 to 12. A comprehensive curriculum with a strong academic focus is a feature of the school. About the Role As the Home Ec/Hospitality Teacher Aide, you will have responsibility for the following: Setting up of kitchens, sewing rooms and classrooms prior to lessons. Replenishing supplies and moving equipment between areas. Monitor the quantities of equipment, materials and supplies in the Home Economics department and advise the HOD when purchases are required. Ordering of all ingredients, sewing supplies and other items including equipment. Unpack deliveries of equipment and ingredients into appropriate storage facilities. Keeping a stocktake of items. Assist with general tidiness and cleaning of the kitchens and sewing rooms. This may include cleaning of ovens and fridges and daily washing. Assisting with the management and stocktaking of equipment and resources Engrave and label new equipment. Maintain School &/or Faculty data bases for Curriculum activity risk assessment register, material safety data sheet, Chemical management, plant and equipment maintenance register and ITD staff induction register. Administration duties such as corporate card reconciliation, photocopying and filing. Please refer to the attached role description for any mandatory requirements for this position.
