Assistant Manager, Investigations & Enforcement - EL1 (Multiple Opportunities)

The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) is an independent Commonwealth statutory authority responsible for the regulation of broadcasting, radiocommunications, telecommunications and some online content.

About the role

We are looking to fill multiple roles in our Investigations and Enforcement team to build our investigative capability to successfully enforce existing and proposed new anti-scam, spam and telemarketing laws.

In these roles you lead or oversee a variety of tasks, including:

  • Selecting cases for investigation, running investigations and gathering information from regulated entities (including by using compulsory information-gathering powers).
  • Analysing evidence obtained during investigations and forming a view about whether there has been a contravention of the law.
  • Assessing enforcement options and providing advice on the most appropriate action to take.
  • Engaging with key stakeholders in the regulation of unsolicited communications, scams and mobile number fraud, including other regulators and government departments.
