About the role
Join the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) and play a key part in supporting critical initiatives that help students across NSW reach their full potential. As a Project Officer, youll work within a collaborative team environment to coordinate a range of projects that influence the development of high-quality educational standards. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to apply their project coordination skills in the education sector, driving meaningful outcomes that make a real difference.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring the timely and effective conduct of disability provisions for students sitting Higher School Certificate examinations.
- Providing project and operational support including project plans and committee meeting coordination.
- Updating documentation regarding disability provisions, various appeals processes and policies.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience managing and assisting with high volume projects within disability provisions, ideally education sector (or a related field)
- Previous experience working within a school environment, addressing ad hoc requests and unforeseen issues.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to effectively collaborate within a team and with external partners.
- Exceptional time management and organisational abilities to handle competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset, with the ability to adapt to changing requirements and manage emerging issues confidently.
- The ideal candidate will work on Tuesdays from the head office and any other chosen day from home.
Essential Requirements:
Working with children check clearance or willing to obtain one.
