About the Opportunity An opportunity has arisen for an Electrical & Refrigeration Technician to join our Capricorn Copper operation in Queensland. In this role, you will report to the Electrical Supervisor and work on a 15:13 roster. Your focus will be on installing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration and HVAC systems across the camp, while also supporting the process plant and mining areas as required. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the installation and commissioning of new electrical and refrigeration systems.
• Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical and refrigeration systems in line with standards and site requirements.
• Performing and documenting preventative maintenance to minimise downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
• Conducting fault-finding, inspections, and repairs on electrical systems, switchgear, motor control centres, and HVAC equipment.
• Recording completed work and maintenance history in the maintenance management system.
• Following safety protocols and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and a safe work environment.

About You Our ideal candidate will have a background in refrigeration, HVAC, and electrical systems, as well as previous experience in mining or heavy industry. Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:

• Electrical Workers Licence.
• Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
• Refrigerant Handling Licence.
• Low Voltage Rescue (LVR) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificates.
• Current C-class manual drivers licence.
