About the Role

Central to achieving this vision is our Financial Crime Management team, which ensures Tabcorp meets its regulatory obligations regarding Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF), and other financial crime risks. As a Transaction Monitoring Analyst, you will support the Financial Crime Management team by monitoring and analysing customer transactions, identifying suspicious activities, and ensuring compliance with AML/CTF regulations. Specifically, you will:

• Monitor and review transactions across Tabcorps platforms to identify potential suspicious or high-risk activities.
• Investigate transaction alerts and escalate issues in line with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Analyze and assess transactions to ensure compliance with AML/CTF regulations, applying sound judgment to identify risks and trends.
• Support the ongoing transaction monitoring program, working with internal teams to identify gaps and opportunities for improvements in processes and systems.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of suspicious transactions to the appropriate authorities and regulatory bodies, as required.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, AML/CTF regulations, and emerging risks related to financial crime and transaction monitoring.
• Provide support and guidance on transaction monitoring processes and regulatory requirements to internal teams.
• Assist with business projects related to financial crime compliance, offering expertise on transaction monitoring systems and procedures.
• Wagering experience would be a benefit but is not essential.

What Youll Bring

As a Transaction Monitoring Analyst, you will bring a solid background in financial crime monitoring, with specific experience in transaction monitoring and risk management. You will also possess:

• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to effectively assess large volumes of transaction data and identify suspicious patterns or trends.
• In-depth knowledge of AML/CTF regulations and the ability to apply this knowledge effectively in transaction monitoring.
• Proven experience in transaction monitoring systems and techniques, with a focus on detecting and mitigating financial crime risks.
• The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of transaction monitoring and reporting.
• Strong communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and with external regulators.
• The confidence to make decisions based on sound judgment and solid evidence.
