Base Salary: $74,470 - $82,855 (p.a.)

Total Effective Package: $93,499 - $102,934 (p.a.)*

About the Role

The NDIS Aboriginal Community Connector works within a culturally secure framework to ensure there is culturally appropriate connection between the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) and Aboriginal community members. This position is a critical contributor to Congress NDIS services and support across all Congress town and remote communities, and will require travel to Congress serviced remote sites.

To be considered for this position, you will require:

  • Is of Aboriginal descent, identifies as an Aboriginal person, and is accepted as an Aboriginal person by the Aboriginal community. Ensure cultural safety, have knowledge of local Aboriginal communities
  • Have the ability to cultivate and grow professional, meaningful working, respectful relationships with clients and their families, particularly Aboriginal people with disability
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including high level demonstrated ability to use a computer for data entry, case note recording
  • Current Northern Territory or Australian Drivers Licence
