Position Overview:
The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for supporting efficient and effective warehouse operations and ensuring safe practices at all times. Daily duties include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, and organising and retrieving stock in the warehouse.
A strong work ethic, good communication and passion for driving results in a fast-paced environment are a must.
Ideally seeking someone with previous hands-on manufacturing experience and who is comfortable using basic battery operated hand tools.
Main Responsibilities:
Receiving, inspecting, and recording incoming shipments of products and supplies, while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Accurately packing, labeling, and preparing products for shipment to customers, paying close attention to product integrity and safety.
Organising and maintaining inventory in an organised and accessible manner, utilising a robust inventory management system.
Safely operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment, in strict adherence to safety guidelines and protocols.
Maintaining a clean and organised work environment, including proper storage of hazardous materials and chemicals.
Assisting with periodic inventory counts and reconciliations, following established audit procedures.
Collaborating with the warehouse team to meet daily goals and deadlines, ensuring teamwork and safety are prioritised.
Adhering to all safety protocols, company policies, and regulatory requirements to maintain a secure and compliant warehouse environment.
Seek ways to contribute to continuous improvement in all aspects of warehouse operations.
Uphold our high standards of customer service and DIFOT excellence.
Resolve customer product inquiries and issues promptly and professionally to ensure customer satisfaction.
Develop and maintain in-depth product knowledge.
