Our team engineers, and manufactures Spicer-branded axles, driveshafts, steering shafts, and joint assemblies for both commercial and passenger vehicles. Dana Australia has an exciting opportunity for an outstanding Product Support and Warranty Manager to join the Engineering team.
The Role
Reporting into the Engineering Manager and working closely with the Sales/Business Development team your responsibilities include:
Establish and maintain working relationships with key technical staff within customer & user organizations and periodically review service levels, support with regular communication and visitation.
Coordinate customer and dealer communication to provide the best possible warranty solutions for current and future customer satisfaction.
Draft and/or review drafts of service information documents including but not limited to operator's and parts manuals, standard repair schedules, service and instructional bulletins, warranty policies and procedures, and service manuals
Develop internal and customer training about current and new Dana products, providing technical training/seminars to the dealer network and customer base.
Manage the process of reviewing warranty claims and processing within established guidelines, policies and procedures for commercial vehicle applications.
Assist in analyzing warranty returns to determine cause of failure. Identify trends in increased warranty claims and/or operating issues, advising internal stakeholders and assisting in finding a solution.
The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:
Diploma or higher-level certificate in a technical field (Engineering bachelor's degree preferred).
Product knowledge of Commercial Vehicle axles, driveshafts and steering shafts.
Knowledge and experience of best practice warranty management, including experience in warranty adjudication and technical failure root cause analysis.
Superior verbal communication, analytical, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Experience in developing Customer relations and knowledge of commercial issues.
Experience in preparation of product manuals, datasheets, and point of sale material.
Train the trainer capability, including development of training materials.
Ability to work autonomously and within a team
