About the role  

We are looking to hire a Permanent Vineyard Operator to join our McLaren Vale Vineyards team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of growing super-premium fruit for some of our most loved Penfolds wines.  

Your day-to-day will consist of:

• Conduct tractor and machinery operations, including pruning, harvesting, spraying, mowing, mulching, trimming, and leaf plucking
• Manage irrigation operations and perform maintenance tasks
• Engage in hands-on vineyard work such as training and trellising to ensure the highest quality standards

About you

Successful applicants will naturally take pride in their work, be motivated to learn new skills, throw themselves into being one of the team, have a good eye for detail and an overall positive attitude.  

• Vineyard operator experience is a nice-to-have but we are open to a variety of past skills!  
• Safety focused with an eye for detail
• A reliable and engaged team player
• Able to perform manual handling work (a pre-employment medical check will be part of the recruitment process).
• Forklift License is great to have
• Unrestricted drivers license
