About the role

DT and S Contracting' is seeking experienced Skilled Labourers and/or Excavator Operators to join our team on an ongoing casual basis. Current projects being both local and interstate this role attracts LAFHA and DIDO/FIFO rosters. This is an exciting opportunity to work with an industry-leading construction and contracting company working within the green energy sector. The successful candidates will play a key role in executing essential construction activities on site. 

What you'll be doing

• Performing skilled labour tasks such as operating hand and power tools, reading plans and specifications, and assisting with the construction and installation of various structures

• Operating excavators, trucks and other heavy machinery to carry out site preparation, earthmoving, and general construction activities

• Ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard, adhering to safety protocols and quality standards

• Collaborating with the wider construction team to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget

• Maintaining a clean and organised work environment

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Skilled Labourer or Excavator Operator, with a strong understanding of construction techniques and methods

• Proficient in the safe operation of hand and power tools, as well as excavation equipment

• Excellent physical fitness and stamina to perform demanding manual tasks

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality

• Effective communication and teamwork skills

• Relevant industry certifications or licences would be highly regarded

• Must be able to pass regular and random drug and alcohol testing
