About the role:

This is a full-time permanent opportunity, located in Grafton NSW. The service operates during school terms from 8:15am to 3:45pm Monday to Friday, paid school holidays. We are seeking a candidate to commence in January 2026 in time for term 1.

About the opportunity:

At Uniting, we believe every child deserves the best start in life. We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Service Director to lead our preschool service – someone who can inspire educators, partner with families, and create a nurturing, play-based environment where children thrive.

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead, mentor and support a dedicated team of educators
• Oversee daily operations to ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework
• Foster inclusive, respectful relationships with children, families and the community
• Guide curriculum decisions that promote belonging, wellbeing and curiosity
• Champion continuous improvement through the Quality Improvement Plan

Your Qualifications & Experience

• A Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or Diploma with significant leadership experience)
• At least 3 years’ experience as a Teacher or Early Learning leader
• Sound knowledge of the National Quality Standard and early childhood best practice
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
• A commitment to Uniting’s values – Compassionate, Respectful, Bold and Imaginative
• Current NSW WWCC Check and ability to pass National Police Check
