Senior Electrical Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our clients team on a contract basis in Pinjarra, Western Australia. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the Mining, Resources & Energy industry, providing expert technical leadership and project management for complex electrical engineering projects. This will be a 12-months initial contract.

What youll be doing

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems and infrastructure for mining operations

• Oversee the maintenance and optimisation of existing electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve complex electrical engineering challenges

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians

• Ensure all electrical work is carried out in compliance with relevant safety and regulatory standards

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of electrical engineering processes and procedures

What were looking for

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field

• 5+ years of post-qualification experience in the mining, resources, or energy sectors

• Demonstrated expertise in the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems and infrastructure

• Proficient in project management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

• Strong technical knowledge of electrical engineering principles, standards, and regulations

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders

• A safety-first mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement
