External Service Technician

We are seeking a technically skilled External Service Technician to join our Service Department. The role is responsible for:

• Carrying out on-site repairs, calibrations, and periodic service of gas detection and instrumentation.

• Installing new equipment at client sites.

• Preparing service reports, processing paperwork, and following up on customer quotes.

• Supporting our in-house laboratory with repairs, calibrations, and QA tasks.

• Building strong customer relationships while identifying opportunities for new business.

Some travel may be required within Australia and occasionally overseas. This is a role of responsibility where maintaining professionalism and credibility is essential.

Were looking for someone with proven technical ability and a strong service mindset. Ideally, you will have experience in instrumentation, gas detection, or a related technical field.

• Solid technical and fault-finding skills.

• Proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships.

• Reliable, self-motivated, and enthusiastic.

• Strong time management and organisational skills.

• A team player who is also comfortable working independently.

• Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency.

• Currently residing in Australia.

• Queensland Open Driver Licence.

• Ability to obtain site clearances and complete site inductions.

• Flexibility to work after-hours or nights occasionally.

• Previous experience in the gas detection industry is highly regarded.
