Our Innisfail site is a well-established, high-traffic service station catering to residents, travellers, and transport operators along key regional routes. Beyond fuel, our location offers a well-stocked convenience store and a variety of fast and friendly services, making us a trusted stop in the community.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy Innisfail store. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to drive performance while maintaining high service and safety standards. Retail Manager - Metro Petroleum - Innisfail, QLD Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage budgets to control costs and maximise profitability.
• Monitor sales performance, analyse trends, and implement initiatives to meet revenue and profitability targets.
• Ensure workplace compliance with occupational health and safety standards, food safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
• Plan and execute in-store promotions, marketing activities, and local advertising to boost sales and brand presence.
• Provide expert advice to customers on products, fuel types, and in-store offerings, ensuring a helpful and friendly service culture.
• Oversee equipment maintenance, store cleanliness, and presentation to maintain brand standards.
• Maintain accurate records of stock movement, sales transactions, and financial reporting.
• Implement staff rosters to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Manage supplier relationships and coordinate purchasing to ensure timely delivery and product quality.
• Manage pricing strategies in line with market trends and business objectives.
• Oversee the overall operations of the service station and convenience store to ensure smooth daily functioning and exceptional customer experiences.
• Respond promptly to customer feedback and resolve issues in a professional manner.
• Determine optimal product range and stock levels to meet customer demand while managing inventory efficiently.

Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 + Superannuation Hours: Full-time, 38 hours per week Personal Attributes

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of an AQF associate degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma.
• At least 1 year of relevant retail management experience, preferably in a fuel station, convenience store, or fast-paced retail environment.
