Pacific Family Medical Practice is an AGPAL Accredited General Practice, servicing the Calamvale and Sunnybank Hills area since 2005 . we are a busy family owned GP practice with all modern medical equipment, friendly doctors and staff members. We use Best Practice software. 

We are looking for a Casual receptionist 

Qualifications & experience

  • Health care sector experience is preferred but not essential
  • Knowledge of software such as Best Practice and Health Engine is an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills including a professional and personal phone manner
  • Possess remarkable customer service skills
  • Multitasker and energetic
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to build rapport with people and warm demeanour
  • Passionate and driven
  • Must be a team player
  • Neat and professional presentation

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Greeting patients and welcoming them to the clinic
  • Assisting patients with their phone and email inquires in courteous and efficient manner
  • Scheduling appointments over the phone
  • Processing Medicare billing and private payments with utmost accuracy
  • Scanning and filing patients records, results and other correspondence
  • Liaising with referring doctors, other health professionals and team members in a professional manner
  • Administrative support and other ad hoc duties
  • Perform administrative duties delegated by the management
  • Maintaining reception area in a tidy and welcoming manner
  • Work cooperatively and independently
