We have been making chocolate and confectionary for over 90 years. From humble beginnings selling sweets from a pushcart, and later to a small factory under the first arch of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Darrell Lea is sold in Australia, New Zealand, USA, UK and Canada.

We are currently seeking self-motivated and meticulous production workers to join our team in a permanent full-time role or in a casual role working in our Day Shift/Afternoon shift operations, 7:00am - 3:30pm or 3:30pm - 12:00am Monday to Friday, at our Rowville factory.   

About You

To be successful in this role you will come from a manufacturing background, with experience in machine operation, ideally gained within a food production or pharmaceutical environment. FMCG is in your DNA and as a result, you understand the challenges involved working in such a fast-paced environment

Accountabilities

• Operation of a variety of purpose-built machines (full training provided)

• Completing manual handing duties - lifting, pulling, pushing, bending and reaching.

• Quality checks

• Get involved with safety, follow the safety rules, speak up and be mindful of risks.

• Maintaining a clean workspace.

Skills Required

• Candidates must hold valid Australian work rights without restrictions

• Previous experience as a machine operator, ideally gained from food manufacturing environment

• Ability to understand, correctly interpret and follow instructions and procedures

• Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment.

• To be able to successfully communicate written and verbally

• Work commitment, reliability and motivation.

• Experience working within FMCG
