Payroll and Finance Officer

ABOUT THE ROLEThe College seeks an experienced Payroll and Finance Officer to join the busy Finance team in a permanent full-time position.
The successful applicant will work collaboratively with other members of the Finance team to process the Colleges fortnightly payroll and managing the day-to-day financial operations of the College.
Key Responsibilities
The following responsibilities are not exhaustive but are indicative of the scope and nature of the role.
Prepare and process fortnightly payroll in an accurate, timely and efficient manner.
Perform complex payroll calculations and processes in accordance with legislation and Enterprise Agreements.
Utilise a high degree of initiative and discretion to provide confidential support to the Finance Manager.
Work collaboratively with other members of the finance team to ensure accurate and timely completion of the accounting functions of the College.
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications
Proven expertise in end-to-end payroll operations within a medium to large organisation.
Qualifications in Accounting are desirable but not essential.
Advanced capability in interpreting and applying industrial instruments, legislation and organisational policies.
Exceptional organisational skills with a proven ability to prioritise and coordinate.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
