As we continue to grow, were seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Estimator to join our team and bring our projects to life.

The Role:As a Junior Estimator, you will play a crucial part in preparing accurate quotes and estimates for upcoming projects. Working closely with the design and production teams, youll learn how to interpret architectural drawings, assess material requirements, and prepare competitive quotes that meet client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing project estimates and quotations for light steel framing jobs

• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and problem solve and provide feedback

• Handling requests that come into our estimating email inbox. 

• Working closely with our estimating team to ensure quotes and orders are processed efficiently

• Keeping filing systems up-to-date and assisting stakeholders with any estimating-related questions. 

• Provide support to the estimating and customer service teams.

•  Strong attention to detail and accuracy in project estimation and detailing

• Ability to collaborate with internal teams and communicate effectively

• Maintaining detailed records and documentation of the estimating process

• Analyse drawings and specifications.

• Understand contractual terms and conditions.

• Assemble estimates and proposals.

• Have excellent listening skills, clear verbal communication skills and an acceptable level of written communication skills

• Be friendly and approachable and have the confidence to talk to people on the phone and in person and be willing to be trained.

Requirements:

• A keen interest in construction estimating or engineering

• Basic understanding of construction drawings and methods (experience with steel framing a bonus)

• Proficiency with computers - experience with CAD software or estimating tools preferred

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

• Willingness to learn and grow within the team
