Forklift operators required for freight forwarding

Your new company

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our team to assist with freight co-ordination and unloading shipping containers. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe handling of materials within our operations.

Your new role

  • Operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within the facility.

  • Unload products from shipping containers and manoeuvre the forklift in tight spaces.

  • Ensure the safe and efficient movement of goods, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.

  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of forklifts to ensure optimal performance.

  • Assist with inventory management, including tracking and documenting the movement of materials.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.

  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment.

What youll need to succeed

  • Valid forklift licence

  • Previous experience working with and around shipping containers - is a MUST!

  • Proven experience as a forklift operator, preferably in a freight forwarding or logistics environment.

  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

  • Ability to manoeuvre forklifts in tight spaces.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Good communication skills.
