Electrical and Mechanical Assembly Technician (Factory)

Ultralift Australia is a proudly Australian-owned manufacturer of high-end, custom-engineered audio-visual lift systems and precision metalwork. Based in Heidelberg West, we produce premium automation products used in luxury residential, commercial, and marine projects, and were expanding our assembly team.

Were looking for a hands-on, mechanically and electrically minded Assembly Technician to join our production floor. If you take pride in clean, quality work and enjoy building unique products from the ground up, wed love to hear from you.

What Youll Do

• Assemble bespoke AV lift systems and metal components using a combination of mechanical and electrical skills

• Work from engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics

• Calibrate and test products

• Operate hand and air tools for basic fabrication

• Conduct mechanical preparation for powder coating

• Support broader production with mechanical build tasks across departments

• Follow established SOPs, record test results, and report any quality issues

• Maintain a tidy, organised and safe workspace

What Were Looking For

• Previous experience in assembly, wiring, or mechanical/electrical production

• Familiarity with motor-driven components, control systems, and general fault finding

• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and diagrams

• Mechanically inclined and confident using a wide range of tools

• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality, visually presentable work

• Organised, practical, and team-oriented mindset

• Full Australian working rights

Bonus points for:

• Forklift licence

• Experience with metal fabrication, AV systems, or CNC machinery

• Any exposure to low-voltage wiring or control board assembly

• Knowledge of electronic systems and components relevant to home automation such as AC/DC motors, relays, thermostats, and PLCs
